SB 19  (Pesticide Disclosure) 


Measure Title: RELATING TO THE HEALTH IMPACTS OF PESTICIDES.
Report Title: Pesticides; Disclosure; Pesticide Use Revolving Fund
Description: Requires the department of agriculture to establish a mandatory disclosure program for pesticide use by all persons or entities under certain

circumstances.  Defines the term "crops" as used in chapter 149A, HRS. Increases the pesticide use revolving fund balance ceiling to $500,000.

SB 749( Medicaid Budget for Housing Related Services 


Measure Title: RELATING TO HUMAN SERVICES.

Description: Requires twenty per cent of the department of human services' annual medicaid budget to be used for housing-related services and other

permanent supportive services for homeless individuals with mental illness or substance use disorders. Requires the department to seek a section 1115

waiver from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

The Committees on Human Services and Housing passed this measure unamended  on 1/30/2017.   The measure passed second reading on 2/3/17 and has been referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

SB 14 ($15/Hour Minimum Wage)


​Measure Title: RELATING TO MINIMUM WAGE.
Report Title: Minimum Wage; Employment; Living Wage Report
Description: Increases minimum wage to $11.00 per hour beginning 01/01/19, $12.00 per hour beginning 01/01/20, $13.00 per hour beginning 01/01/21, $14.00 per hour beginning 01/01/22, and $15.00 per hour beginning 01/01/2023. Requires DBEDT to conduct assessment on living wage in Hawaii and submit report to legislature on its findings by 01/01/2020.

Description: Establishes pesticide buffer zones for sensitive areas beginning on July 1, 2018. Establishes penalties for violations.
